Drought, heat and water scarcity are cutting yields in Spain’s main almond regions.
Most almond land is family-farmed, and most growers sell on the spot market with no price guarantee. Changing practices is a risk they carry alone.
Buyers face supply risk and can’t see real impact or financial viability behind certifications.

Risk assessed per farm
Climate, water and financial risk, with yield and suitability modelling to 2030, plus aquifer reliability for irrigated farms.
Long-term contracts
3 to 5-year agreements that finance the transformation.
A plan per farm
A transition plan co-designed with each grower, with field support through the season and implementation costs co-shared with partners. Follows the principles of SAI Platform’s Regenerating Together framework.
